船的角速度会越来越快，驾驶员必须掌握角速度，及时放慢旋回速度，切换视角找寻落水人员，航向距落水者方位剩余20度舷角时，正舵停车。同时驾驶员询问大副是否将救助艇准备好 。当船的速度降到 0-2 节时，注意控制船舶的航向，开始准备放艇，当然距离也应该近。
