1.船长:Captain/Master
船长,是船上的最高指挥者。在我国,船长与轮机长、大副、二副、三副、大管轮、二管轮、三管轮等并称为高级船员;在德国、日本等国也是如此。然而在英美等国,船长并不在船员的范畴之内。
The captain is the highest commander on board. It is regarded as a senior crew member in China, along with the chief engineer, chief officer, second officer, third officer, first engineer, second engineer, and third engineer. In countries such as Germany and Japan, it is the same case. However, in the UK and the USA, captains are not categorized as crew, but as another profession.
船长在我国也是一个职称,“船长”是中级职称,“高级船长”是高级职称。我国有很多非船员的职业也多由或者必须由具有船长资质的人来担任,比如海事调查官、航运公司或国际船舶管理公司的海务部、船务部负责人以及指定人员等。
2.大副:Chief Officer/ Mate/
First Mate
大副,是指职位仅低于船长的船舶驾驶员。大副是甲板部(驾驶部)负责人,是船长的主要助手。
The chief officer refers to a ship pilot whose position is only lower than that of the captain. The chief officer is the head of the deck department and the main assistant of the captain.
大副在船长(和政委)的领导下,负责甲板部的所有工作;履行航行值班职责并协助船长搞好安全航行、主管货物装卸运输和甲板部的维修保养。大副在航行中值0400〜0800(即早上4点-早8点)、1600〜2000班(即下午4点-晚8点),进出港口和靠离移泊时大副会在船首指挥,船舶应急时会任现场指挥。船长因故不能履行职务时,大副代理船长履行职务。国外船舶常由大副负责全船的行政管理。
3.二副:Second Officer
/Chief/Mate
二副,也是船舶驾驶员,职位仅低于船长、大副;在船长、大副领导下履行航行和停泊值班职责。
The second officer refers to a ship pilot whose position is only lower than that of the captain or first officer. The second officer performs duties such as navigation and berthing, under the leadership of the captain or the first officer.
二副主管驾驶设备、航海图书资料、旗帜和信号器材,航行中值0000〜0400,1200〜1600班。海上航行时二副需每天与二管轮互换正午报告(正午报告内容包括24小时航程,平均航速,天气情况,主机转速,油水存量及消耗量等),靠离、移泊时也要在船尾指挥。大副因故不能履行职务时,二副代理大副职务。
4.三副:Third Officer/Mate
三副,是船员职务名称,职位次于二副;三副一般掌管救生设备、消防设备等,航行时会轮流值班驾驶。
The Third Officer is the name of a position on board, only second to Second Officer in rank; the third officer is generally in charge of equipment such as firefighting, life-saving, etc., and takes turns on duty during navigation.
三副需在船长、大副的领导下认真执行公司综合管理体系中的各项规定,履行规定的船舶航行和停泊值班职责。三副还应熟悉并遵守值班、联系制度,以及航行安全、技术操作方面的规章;装卸期间需按大副的安排管理货物装卸。
