• 在使用同一供油来源的多台发动机装置中，应提供隔离各自发动机供油和溢油管线的装置隔离装置不得影响其他发动机的工作，并应能够从不会因任何发动机失火而无法靠近的位置操作。

• （In multi-engine installations which are supplied from the same fuel source,means of isolating the fuel supply and spill piping to individual engines, shall be provided. The means of isolation shall not affect the operation of the other engines and shall be operable from a position not rendered inaccessible by a fire on any of the engines.）

SOLAS公约文中并未对何为“因任何发动机失火而无法靠近的位置”做出详细的解释。而是在海安会通函MSC.1/Circ.1321中对发电机燃油隔离阀的位置设置做了详细说明。

MSC.1/Circ.1321（2009年6月11日生效)

• 为了满足SOLAS公约II-2/4.2.2.5.5的要求，隔离阀的位置和可操作性应不受任何发动机火灾的影响。

• 在可行的情况下，隔离阀应位于距离发动机任何方向至少5m的位置。如果无法做到这一点，则应使用障碍物保护阀门的操作位置。

• 如果上述方法是不可行的，在发生火灾时能够接近隔离阀的其他保护方法也可以接受。

• 隔离可以接受远程控制的阀门。在这种情况下，操作机构应防火。

• （In order to fulfil SOLAS regulation II-2/4.2.2.5.5, isolating valves should be located and operable from a position not rendered inaccessible by a fire on any of the engines.

• Where practicable,isolating valves should be located at least 5m away from engines in any direction. If this is not possible, the operating position of the valves should be protected by an obstruction.
  

• If the above is impracticable, other means of protection capable of enabling access to the isolating valves in the event of a fire might be acceptable.

即燃油隔离阀应：

a、 阀门的操作位置应受到遮挡物的保护，或

b、 在任何方向距离发动机至少5米，或

c、 从受保护位置远程操作。

需要注意的是：

（1）在MSC.1/Circ.1321通函生效之前（2009年6月11日），发电机燃油隔离阀在船上的布置标准并没有统一，而是存在多种式样的布置，且已被RO组织所认可。

（2）MSC.1/Circ.1321通函未被SOLAS公约在文中引用。其生效后，所提到的发电机隔离阀布置，虽然被船舶设计人员、船东、建造人员等接受作为指导性文件，但是它并不具有强制性。

因此，在判定某一具体船舶发电机燃油隔离阀是否满足公约要求时，应当慎重考虑船舶各方意见，重视与RO组织的充分沟通。
