对于国际航行的船舶，在进入VTS覆盖区域报告时，均采用采用国际海事组织（IMO）A.851（20）号大会决议附则中所规定的格式，因世界各国VTS的发展水平不一，管理体制多样化，也因各国海域战略位置不同，也有了当地要求和规定，但IMO要求的标准格式都是各国必须执行的，所以船舶驾驶人员首先应熟悉和掌握IMO要求的标准格式。通常IMO要求的报告内容都是按照字母的顺序来向VTS报告的，24个字母都有代表的完整意义。

*A*A-船舶：船名、呼号或船舶电台识别码、国籍。

Ship: name, call sign or ship station identity and flag.

*B*B一事件的日期和时间：一组表示当月的日期（前两位）、小时和分（后4位)的6位数，如果未使用世界时，应指明适用的时区。

Date and time of event: a 6 digit group giving day of month (first two digits), hours and minutes(last four digits). If other than UTC state time zone used.

*C*C-位置：一组4位数表示纬度度数和分数，后缀N（北）或S（南）；一组5位数表示经度度数和分数，后缀E（东）或W（西)；或

Position: a 4 digit group giving latitude in degrees and minutes suffixed with N (north) or S(south) and a 5 digit group giving longitude in degrees and minutes suffixed with E (east) or W (west);or

*D*D-位置：距一个显著陆标（要注明名称）方位（前3位）和距离（以海里为单位）。Position: true bearing (first 3 digits) and distance (state distance) in nautical miles from a clearly identified landmark (state landmark).

*E*E-真航向：3位数。

True course: a 3 digit group.

*F*F一以节为单位的航速：3 位数。Speed in knots: a 3 digit group.

*G*G-驶离港：上一挂靠港名称。

Port of departure: name of last port of call.

*H*H-进入报告系统的日期、时间和位置：日期和时间按（B）所述表示，位置按（C）或（D）

所述表示。

Date, time and point of entry into system: entry time expressed as in (B) and entry position expressed as in (C) or (D).

*I*I-目的港和预计抵达时间：港口名称及时间按（B）所述表示。

Destination and expected time of arrival: name of port and date time group expressed as in (B).

*J*J-引航员：注明船上是否有深海或近海引航员。

Pilot: state whether a deep sea or local pilot is on board

*K*K一驶离报告系统的日期、时间和位置：日期和时间按（B）所述表示，位置按（C）或（D）所述表示。

Date, time and point exit from system: exit time expressed as in (B) and exit position expressed as in (C) or (D)

*L*L-航路信息：计划航线。

Route information: intended track.

*M*M-无线电：注明守听通信台站的名称或频率。

Radio: state in full names of communications stations/frequencies guarded.

*N*N-下次报告时间：日期和时间按（B）所述表示。

Time of next report: date time group expressed as in (B).

*O*O-当前最大吃水：一组4 位数（前两位单位为米（m），后两位单位为厘米（cm）)。

Maximum present static draught in metres: 4 digit group giving metres and centimetres.

*P*P一载货：货物和危险品的简要描述（如可能对人身体或环境造成危害的有害物质和气体）。Cargo on board: cargo and brief details of any dangerous cargoes as well as harmful substances and gases that could endanger persons or the environment.

*Q*Q一故障、缺陷、受损和受限情况：故障、缺陷、受损、受限情况的简要描述。

Defects, damage, deficiencies and limitations: brief details of defects, damage, deficiencies or other limitations.

*R*R-污染或危险品丢失落水情况：污染（油或化学品）或丢失落水危险货物的种类及位置

（按（C）或（D）所述表示）的简要描述。

Description of pollution or dangerous goods lost overboard: brief details of type of pollution (oi,chemicals, etc) or dangerous goods lost overboard; position expressed as in (C) or (D).

*S*S-气象情况：天气和海况的简要描述。Weather conditions: brief details of weather and sea conditions prevailing.

*T*T一船东代表和或船东：船东代表和/或船东的详细名址以便获取信息。

Owner's representative and/ or owner: details of name and particulars of ship's representative and /or owner for provision of information.

*U*U一船舶尺度和种类：船长、船宽、吨位、船舶种类及其他必需的资料。Ship size and type: details of length, breadth, tonnage and type etc as required.

*V*V-医护人员：医生、助理医生、护士或未经医护培训的人员。Medical personnel: doctor, physicians' assistant, nurse and no medic.

*W*W-船上人员总数：说明人数。

Total numbers of persons on board: state numbers.

*X*X-杂项：任何其他信息。

Miscellaneous: any other information.

  船舶驾驶人员应平常多学习和实际运用国际海事组织标准格式，在实际报告中不断提高自己在VTS中英语对话能力，提升我国驾驶人员在国际VTS平台上的站位。
